My FS200 is very similar to that my except for some minor cosmetic and slight control difference, but basically the same.

I am so looking forward to your new videos on YT with the Canon FS100. I use a Panasonic SDR-S7 Video camera which I took to Everest and use all the time. It is so small it goes in my pocket. The sound quality is really good.

i have a canon fs 200 its a realy nice camcorder its very simuler to your fs 100 exept some design details and that it dosent have a remote its basicly the same.

As compared to the Kodak Zi8: That also has a Microphone input and I believe Kodak will still include that feature in their next model. Time will tell if I'm right about that. Another thing I know about the Zi8 is that they use a cell phone battery and they look like cell phones. Zi8's have similar features to the Canon except it doesn't have optical zoom. There are other digital cameras like that such as the Vado HD, Flip Ultra HD and RCA Small wonder. I don't think they have mic inputs.
