@warriorfire8103 Wise decision. You can't really use the jow incorrectly unless you drink it. But hitting the heavy bag incorrectly can do immense damage, especially over time to your connective tissues. Start off on a light bag and work your way up over several years to give your tendons and ligaments time to adjust.

@NoKnockaKnee haha the thing is i luv my martial arts and im already very flexible. I already do work on building muscle (not that im super strong or anything as i only lift 5kg weights) but how would i get arthritis? my training isnt hardcore and my hands are as big as my dads. what is the science behind interferring with my bones growth as they seem even bigger not stunted. wat if i just condition my forearms (iron bridge) as arthritis is just in the hands?
hi =). im 14 and ive been conditioning my knuckles, fists, palms, and forearms for one year now and i come across this video saying not to condition if you're under 18. This made me think. Do i stop conditioning? i hav had no trouble with my bones, they have become tougher, i feel less pain, and i use dit da jow. wen i train i neva hav hurt or injured myself and i train very carefully, properly and sensibly. Is it ok for me to continue with my iron palm, iron fist and iron bridge technique?

@ShadowM13 Well here's the thing. You're hands are still growing at 14. They won't stop growing till about 18. So what you are doing is interfering with the normal bone growth process. Yes, you're knuckles will toughen up simply as a result of Wolff's law. However, you run the risk of getting arthritis at a young age - say 30 to 40. My recommendation at your age would be to focus on muscle growth and flexibility. Practice your forms and build muscle memory now while your body is young. Just mho.
