Bush did wait 7 days, however nobody who matters would actually question Bush's hard line (and appropriate) stance on terrorism and national security. Obama is a newbie on the scene and has yet to prove himself tough on national security. Obama is the Commander in Chief, but he conducts himself like the liberal lawyer he is.

I really don't think the foiled underwear bomber is comparable to 9/11. Its more comparable to the 2001 foiled shoe bomber, in which Bush took 6 days to respond.
