I don't want the federal money paying for a useless war if that's what you mean. It would be a far better tax system if the government didn't take our money in the 1st place. We wouldn't have to beg for it. Currently many people are losing their homes and jobs and fewer people are shopping. All of that generated revenue for the state to pay for education. We can't ask the government to shakedown those people to keep tuition cheap. Over half of the state spending has been on education.

I agree with Architect... 1 out of 8 Californians are unemployed, many more are underemployed. The state is 25 billion in debt. 250,000 people have moved away from California since this year because they cant afford to live here. Dems are creating stupid costly regulations which actually hurt business and people. Greedy unions extorting the state government to give them more more more. People cant afford to be taxed anymore, (rejection of tax increases in May) so you have to cut somewhere.

all i saw was a bunch of worthless sociology/pyschology/business/
history majors there lol -
At least this time, they aren't beating up fellow students. (But I don't really think that a major in Zen Feminism should be paid for by taxpayers.)

rich college kids protesting what they will become. ha-larious!

Fuck you hairy shitheads! Go fuck your education!
-
@ScientologyStoners Yeah, exactly! I hate people who work! Fuck their pensions! Let's take some of that money and give it to the 30 million illegals! Because they're unsustainable too, unless we fuck the working class! Free edjukation for every last hairy shitface!

right on!
The chant was, "No justice, no peace, education should be free!" But it isn't free is it? You're asking the taxpayers to pay for it. Since the economy has been one giant ponzi scheme for about 40 years, and it is falling apart now, I don't see how taxpayers can support you anymore. Instead of protesting, go work, sell stuff on ebay, take cheaper classes online, CLEP out of some of your courses. There are many ways to save money and still get your degree.

Ok well the chant was "no cuts, no fees, education should be free"
For the students to not protest about how they are suffering wouldn't be right because then they are just letting the government take our money and our education.
I can't sit there, and watch the government take our money, take away our classes, and force us to drop out of school.
Do you realize where all of the taxpayer's money is going?
I'd rather help pay for people to be educated than to see it disappear.

The police blocked us off so that we weren't able to get footage. Some people on the side broken into were able to get some footage and are trying to send it to the media. I saw my friends getting kicked by police on the floor, and thrown on the ground. When I was arrested later that night, for not fighting back, there were 2 girls next to me getting dragged across the cement by riot police, they didn't even do anything.
