  • I think I'll go with the Dual Rect. Looks like they have a brighter sound. Am I right ??

  • @dekzan The Mark series are much brighter than the Rectifiers.

  • Where did you buy all that directional foam?

  • @ac23AQ It was wast from an upholstery shop.

  • hey man great tone... i am thinking of buing a mesa mark 4... i play only metal , and i love iced earth... is it ok for me wht do you think ?

  • @aris17561 Yeah, the Mark IV is a great amp. If you have a choice try and get a Mark IV a (as opposed to the b version). They are the older ones. If you do some google'ing you can find out how to tell really easy.

  • @dekzan the marks are tighter than the rectifiers as well especially on palm mutes.

  • @dusted04 I had the same issue with my Mark V, but if you run the mid knob high (I mean 3 to 5 o'clock!) all the thump you're looking for is there. Same trick works on the IV. As a matter of fact, if you're not able to get a thick tone out of a V, then you won't get one out of a IV. I've played both. The claims that the IV has a better lead channel are total BS.

  • awesome tones

i had a mark v i think im going to get a mark iv now as the v just lacks balls !

  • love the room

  • Black Metal through a Mark IV. Badass.

  • great tone. it actually reminds me of Offspring's Americana :D :D :D But that does not mean it isn't metal.

  • imortaaaalllllll

  • immortal!

  • @dekzan

If you want Mesa's best high-gain distortion, then go with a Mark IV. It takes a little while to get used to the controls, but once you do, the amp has much better tone than the Rectifier. Also, the Mark IV is better for high-gain than the Mark V. But the Mark V cleans are better than the Mark IV.

  • @MarlonOfTheMetals Ehh brighter isn't really the right word
