@ChaaDreaming It's just the term the internet users have been using, so I judt used it to get my point across. And while what you say about IM@S is true (Kugimiya is awesome!) the majority of people don't associate a fictional character w/ the face of their seiyu

@otaking3582 Valid points, I know what you mean, but I don't think even something as great as Miku's concerts would compare to seeing the seiyu in the flesh. Look at Ritsuko's. The energy she generates in live is amazing. Kotori's has done that too, and it's so great to see her perform. She's not an idol, she only has one outfit- one game model, in the games- her uniform. Look at Yayoi's and Asapon performing together and the fans shouting their names (see "Valentine")

@otaking3582 Continuing.. Haruka's stumbles as much live, but improves with her singing and performance every concert- it's great to watch, and to see her expressions. It wouldn't be the same if Haruka were projected onto a screen. I could say something for each of the voice actresses. Maybe the majority of people don't associate a character with the face of their seiyu, but.. That doesn't mean that they should cheer only for the character. In live, they cheer for both.

@ChaaDreaming Also, Miku is specifically called a "virtual idol", because she's a voice bank.. So, her concerts can get away with the flashy transformations. As much as I'd like to see the idolm@ster girls (and Ryo) up on a transparent screen Miku style, I don't think such transformations and sparkly effects would be the same. And there are many more characters, so more time and money spent on it. It's easier for the company to just have the voice actresses. (I'm done, yay!)

@Nekros4442 Wouldn't have that problem if they took yet another page from Hatsune Miku and just showed holographic projections

@otaking3582 Except that Miku's concerts wasn't holographic. She was projected on a screen- a transparent screen in some cases, a black one in others. And the im@s girls are actually voiced by women, not just a voicebank. Voicebanks can sound so different to their voice provider, after all.
