most of these pics are from the union protests, hence the serious music.

  • @Ahuntsicspotter JAL filled for bankruptcy protection....people are more concerned with the price of the ticket today thanptv or not..its nice if there is ptv but I can tell you that it is an expensive system to install...and if it breaks down it can t always be repaired at turnaround point..needs electronic specialists..this airport shopping mallthing and inflight entertainment has gotten out of hand a little I feel..travelling by air is going from A to B and some airports you can get lost .

  • @Ahuntsicspotter When national carriers like AZ become worthless in terms of service and start shutting down operations in key markets they start code-share with carriers that fly there..in 1970 AZ flew nearly around the world..today more and more of the world is blank spots for AZ..they codeshare...despite Rome beeing a major destination...

  • @Ahuntsicspotter The connection in Dubai to go to Australia from Athens or Rome is because the national airlines Alitalia or Olympic air/ex-Olympicairways couldn t mantain any schedules to Melbourne or Sydney despite there been a huge colony of especially Greecs there.....Dubai is no"normal" transit point for greecs..it has become that................

  • @am1966ath Probably and there is a Greek and Italian-Australians connecting in Dubai.

  • @Ahuntsicspotter It was Emirates A330...Dubai is a nice place to change plane.

  • @am1966ath When you went to Asia last time what airline did you fly?

  • @Ahuntsicspotter Have flown with B747-300(combi)(SQ) B747-400 & combi(KLM),B747-200(THAI,CA and AI, old and very used)DC10(THAI),A330(EK/QR) B777(EK/SQ)..A340(Gulfair). Also once 74SP(CA).

  • @Ahuntsicspotter I have been some 17-18 times to Asia...carriers have changed over the years and so have their equipment..and some have gone. Have flown SIA/TG/CA/AI/GF/QR/EK/LH/KL/MH TO Asia...frankly on some carriers service has gone from excellent to good and on other they are equally bad. Have flown Garuda and Vietnam airlines inside Asia also.

  • @am1966ath I would like to know what airline did you fly to Asia?

  • @Ahuntsicspotter Last time I was in Asia, 2008 I saw several UA B777S..and frankly, I think that many passangers of UA ,especially chinese or Vietnamese passangers are only interested in how much the ticket costs..from Denver,Detroit,Boston or Vegas to Hochiminh city,Guangzhou,Shanghai or Seoul. This PTV is a new thing, the threat from UA US routes to JAL is 25years old. JAL doesnt serve that amount of US cities as UA does...JAL didn t like that NW, now Delta or UA had a hub at Narita.
