This is my guide which shows how to effectively finish your Ice Strykewyrms task.
Ice Strykewyrms can be killed in the Muspah Cave which is found to the north-east of Relekka. To get here, the Fairy Ring code D-K-S is the most convenient, but a ring of slaying teleport to the slayer caves or the Relekka house teletab are both pretty close too.
The area where the Ice Strykewyrms can be found is unlocked after the quest "The Tale of the Muspah" is completed, so you can't kill these until you've finished this quest. After this quest, you'll need to drain the area of water (if it isn't already).
If you want some assistance in draining the water, follow this link:

There are some other requirements and weaknesses that the Ice Strykewyrms have that are worth noting:
1) At least 93 Slayer.
2) You'll need to own a fire cape to be assigned these. Alternatively, you can pay 2,000 slayer reward points and then you can get them without owning a fire cape.
3) The fire cape also gives a bonus of 40 damage to any attack style if worn.
4) Fire spells will hit 1.5x damage.
5) Fire spells combined with a fire cape will hit 2x damage!
To attack an Ice Strykewyrm, you must first investigate the mound on the ground. This will cause you to run over and stamp the ground. The Ice Strykewyrm will burst out of the ground once this is done, and then you can start killing it.
The Ice Strykewyrm uses melee when within melee distance, as well as a magic attack when more than 1 space away from it. The Ice Strykewyrm can occasionally use a magic attack when within melee distance as well.
In this guide, I'm using fire based spells to kill the Ice Strykewyrms. I would only recommend using fire spells if you can use fire surge, requires 95 magic, although fire wave wouldn't be too bad either. If you don't have the requirements to do this (or don't want to), you can simply use your best melee set with a healing familiar and/or food.
If you want to, you can set up a cannon here (towards the south-west area) and get even faster kills. This is more expensive but you'll generally make money anyway so who cares, right?
If you stand against a wall or column, you will never be attacked with a special attack from the Ice Strykewyrm. If you want to casually slay these, you can do that and only worry about attacking and using prayer.
Ice Strykewyrms (and the other Strykewyrms) have a special attack where they can dive into the ground and reappear under your feet. When they burst out of the ground, you will be hit for 300 damage.
There is a delay between the time they dive into the ground and the time the resurface. During this time, you can run out of the way and avoid all damage from this attack. To avoid the damage, you need to run AT LEAST 2 spaces away from the initial position at the time of the special attack.
In this guide, I am using the Enhanced Excalibur as a source of healing. This is a good insurance policy in case you momentarily lose concentration or somehow get hit by the special attack. Please note that you can only use this once every 5 minutes or so.

stealx97 4 months ago
@stealx97 you need to block the water in the same way you did during the quest. Check a quest guide as to how to do so as I don't remember and can't really be bothered checking.

man iam maxed meele with xms and rapier i only got 80 mage tho what should i use?? mage or meele

@Hunt2KillYa I would use melee in this case as your magic is low and you'll only be able to use fire wave. Make sure you bring some food as they can use magic as well as melee though.
