TAANI DAANI - TARAANAA (Classical)

TAANI DAANI - This number is a fusion of a Dhrut and a Taraanaa, elements of the Hindustani Classical world of Indian music. The song was performed to live presentations of Bharatnatyam and Kathak, two Indian classical dance styles, more as a jugalbandi (contest) between the dancers. The song showcases all elements of Indian music - sargam (notes), taal (rhythm); thekaas (rhythmic syntax); and melody - the full works in a classical backdrop. This performance was part of Tharangini's mega-charity show in Hong Kong on May 24, 2008, MANJARI - A BOUQUET OF MELODIES. Taani Daani is an original composition by Jairam.

@talibsa Thanks so much - this happened to be just a composition focused on Hindustani classical. Dances and presentation worked out once we had the song pat.
