Next to Africa, where two Swedish journalists have been charged with terrorism in Ethiopia. The two illegally crossed into Ethiopia with a group of rebels. They were caught in a security operation that killed 15 insurgents.

On Wednesday, two Swedish journalists have been charged with promoting terrorism. They illegally crossed into Ethiopia's Somali Region with rebels in July.

The two are expected to appear in court in October.

Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye entered the province from neighboring Somalia with a team of fighters from the Ogaden National Liberation Front, or ONLF.

They were subsequently wounded in a security operation which killed 15 rebels.

Two rebel fighters detained during the operation also face the same charges. They will appear in court on October 17.

The ethnic Somali dominated province, commonly known as the Ogaden, is home to a low key insurgency.

The ONLF leads the insurgency and has been fighting for independence since 1984.

Apart from the low key rebellion, the arid region has also been the scene of a handful of kidnappings and other incidents of banditry over the past four years.

Please note that Melese Zenawi (Ethiopian government) killed millions Ethiopian and jailed uncountable journalist. Journalism is dead in that country. Ethiopian were crying for help for years in Europe and the US asking Europian & American to stop helping this tug Zenawi.
