i had uploaded a version of this earlier this evening but you tube cut it short by one minute. i accidently figured out how to get this full time version up just now, so i deleted the other one. also, raz pointed out correctly so, that my finger pics were making a clicking sound against the guitar, which has very low action. so, this version is without the finger pics, which i think i like better anyway. sorry about any confusion, chuck.

On our old kitchen table are the last of the flowers
You harvested in from our Garden this year.
Theres a vase filled with blue ones right
next to those yellow. And some Petals fall there
to where Cat Kitty lays,

to bask in the sun of some
East Morning light, casting cat shadows through
yellow and blue. And just as youve Gathered in
such special flowers, Im harvesting love
as I gather in you.

In our view as were looking outside past few flowers
at Maple and Red Oak, Wild Cherry, and Birch,
cold wind out of habit influences leaves as they rustle
And tumble to fertile our Earth.

Bare twigs and bare branches become Silhouette,

dark fingers that point out gray clouds that we know,
to mingle with others who silently hover
to sprinkle our garden with first Winter snow.

At our old kitchen table we visit through Winters,
sharing coffee and tea by a wood fire glow,
with close conversation make time to remember
those fallen soft petals where Cat Kitty lays,

to bask in the sun of some East morning light,
casting cat shadows between me and you.

And just as we gather in simple sweet memories,
our harvest of love is the best thing we do.

hi pete. actually, that was maybe the first song i wrote, and being new the craft, it took a long time, probably a little by a little over several months. i'm happy to hear that you liked it. that one and "my old man" are probably two of my most personal efforts. be well, chuck.
