http://www.wanderingaramean.com - A video from my recent experience on the world's shortest commercial flight (certified by Guinness) between Westray and Papa Westray in the Orkeny Islands of Scotland. The flight is only about 75 seconds long given the right conditions.

Ladies and gentlemen please fasten your seatbelt during departure and landing. Make sure your traytables are in their upright positionns as well as your seats. Carry on bags can be stowed..... OHH SHIT WE ALREADY LANDED

Reminds me a lot of the old service they used to run here in Houston, TX. Up until 2004 there was a 6-minute flight between Ellington Field (~15 miles south of downtown) to Bush Intercontinental (~20 miles north of downtown).

Hardly a waste of fuel when you consider that the air service is the only reasonable way to connect the otherwise very isolated islands to the rest of the world.

Do you have to wait at the terminal 3 hours after check-in ?

@kabouterplop19 That was actually one of the more entertaining parts of the trip. I wsa talking with the taxi driver in town and arranging the ride to the airport. He picked us up ~45 minutes prior to the departure time and we drove up the road to the airport. He then put on his reflective vest and went to work as the ground agent for the airline. It was impossible to be late as our driver did the dispatch, too.
