  • not so bad...at least moving

  • I know this street.

    This looks pretty good.

I have video of much worse.

One intersection where everyone blocks everyonelse for 6 minutes.

    I helped end the gridlock.

  • I was curious what double yellow lines indicate in China.

My observation is that they imply the following:

    1. It is perfectly acceptable to make a left turn

    2. It is perfectly acceptable to crossover and use oncoming lanes to pass

Thanks for the informative vid - leaving tomorrow for Taiwan.

  • When Chinese drivers get a green signal, left turns immediately turn left and block oncoming straight-through vehicles.

Even their traffic signals will display left turn, straight and right arrows for both (opposing) directions, simultaneously.

It is laughable, creating gridlock at almost every intersection.

Unfortunately, it causes so much pollution and wasted fuel and worn brakes of starting, stopping, maneuvering, starting, stopping, maneuvering, etc., etc.

  • One stupid woman turned left.

Unable to move forward, she blocked both "lanes" of through-vehicles.

    She just stayed there, waiting.

She should have waited to turn - the street into which she was turning was jammed with stopped vehicles.

I motioned for her to turn her wheel SHARPLY and drive forward onto the sidewalk.

Once she did, her blocked drivers continued forward and were no longer blocking other vehicles and the gridlock of everyone blocking everyone finally subsided.
