  • DO NOT FOLLOW THIS FUCKING GUIDE

I trashed my MSI following it. When removing the cover on the top left is a hinge for the screen, for some reason the screw would NOT go back in, I found that when I removed the cover if you move the lid even slightly it breaks the plastic bracket the screw goes into totally fucking the machine.

SO DO NOT FOLLOW THIS GUIDE

  • @Pouch98 Maby you just did it incorrectly. :)

  • What if I added a 2gig stick... Would the Wind read:

    3gig

    2gig

or not see the 2gig stick at all leaving it at 1gig?

  • no do not add a 2 gig stick the system has 1 gig installed only add 1 more it will not work and possibly kill it if you add 2 gig stick of ram

  • with a bios upgrade, can i add a 2gig ramstick?

and would it be worth buying a 9 cell battery replacement/upgrade

  • even with a bios update the wind can only have 1 1gig ram stick bringing the total memory to 2 gb

  • @Pouch98 the guide worked for me. seems you did it wrong. actually i read your comment before starting, so i paid much attention to being careful about those delicate hinges, but i haven't had any problems neither with opening the thing nor with closing.

  • that ram is now 20 bucks without shipping

  • Dude, you could have faded Coldplay out when ending the speeded up sequence, instead of just having an abrupt end to the music. :-S

  • Guys can I install a 2gb 800mhz ramstick if I disable the onboard ram in this netbook?

The thing is that reading the manual i noticed that i says: DDR2 667/800 mhz, 2gb max

  • You can add a 2gb stick however it will only read 2gb total, and you first have to disable the onboard RAM in the BIOS.

  • HI HUYS I added 1go sodimm it worked, total: 2go

but when I tried to add 2go to have 3go in total, it didnt work at all, impossible to read windows, it stuck?????

I tried various types of sodimm, it didnt work at all
