You seem knowledgeable. Have you ever had a problem with the number of squares on the instructions not matching the actual number of squares on the grid?
I have a Caron butterfly project, my first one, and the number of squares on the instructions says 65. Yet, my grid has 66 across. I'm not sure how to reconcile this...
I've counted about a million times.

Hi thanks for the tips have you done any more kits since the lady bug??? Another great tip is to put masking tape around the edges to stop from fraying. There is a new tool out quick tie rug hook you should do a demo on that. Cheers.

the tip about lining up the threads for the row is excellent, don't need to pull out if mistake
how do you finish it, do you frame it if so, please post an example

I haven't done any kits since this one. I just did this one for my niece's birthday. I didn't finish the edges, but I like the idea of the masking tape. I think that's what my grandmother had us do when we did these as kids.

I love your videos. I recently lost my father around labor day and it still seems like yesterday. Im a huge reader..it's my poison, but it doesnt seem to mesh with my mourning. I have very blurry memories of latch hooking, and decided to use it as a mini self-induced therapy. Im pretty sure they wrote the instuctions in hieroglyphics though. Your video has helped me get motivated and most importantly...started!
Thanks!!BTW, your rug looks wonderful!
