@JimmyBoi2 yes, thank you. Since the post, I got the info. Charlotte Matheny. I have done a lot of research since then. Many thanks again.

@soxfan1957 yeah thanks I got the details full on. cheers

@ScriptWorker No... Bonnie was a girl named Charlotte [something].

As a composer and producer, Phil was a genius. As a human being- he's a monster. Virtually everyone who ever came into contact with him has at least one horror story about his "attitude" (and the way he packed a gun at some of his recording sessions). Ronnie, of course, suffered the worst of it by being married to him. She was lucky to get away from him alive: there's no way you could stay with someone who became as paranoid as he did, and not wind up dead.

This might be RS's best effort. Her electricity and vibrato are really in evidence when just her lead vocal track is pulled down from the mix. "Where can he be" Ouch squared. She had it all and that moment will be forever available to us via the exploits of kind folks who post this material. She is the Queen of the girl group genre, along with her sister (RIP) and cousin. Ups for posting.

Ronnie in her bio Be My Baby says she thought this was going to be just a run thru & started singing on the downbeat.

@ScriptWorker By this time you probably know the answer but after reading your question I had to scout the internet. This is what I found. Charlotte Ann Matheny who passed away in 1976 was the singer for Bonnie and the Treasures.

@elamite66 He was a genius, no doubt...but I've read Ronnie's autobiography and you might not feel the same way about him after reading it. ...Thanks John for posting this wonderful solo.

Wow. And this is the one take they talk about. A treasure indeed. Talking of Treasure. Does anyone know if the lead singer of Bonnie and the Treasures is in fact Ronnie Spector??? I only hear rumours (UK spelling) Would love to know.
