Lengthy, theatrical trailer for the 1941 Republic serial, KING OF THE TEXAS RANGERS, starring football legend, "Slingin'" Sammy Baugh. An All-American footballer at Texas Christian University, Baugh signed a contract to play baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals after graduation. Eventually deciding to play professional football with the Washington Redskins, tailback/quarterback/punter Baugh became one the game's most popular players, holdinmg most of the NFL's passing records when he retired in 1952. His #33 uniform is the only one to be retired by the Washington Redskins and is the only living charter member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. A gifted athlete, KING OF THE TEXAS RANGERS, was his only starring. Aptly, one of the most action-packed cliffhangers ever made!
