Sergei, my Dark Melee/Super Reflexes scrapper in City of Heroes, beating an archvillain (technically a monster) without using inspirations, temporary powers, veteran powers, base empowerment buffs or click accolades.
An AV version of the Kronos Titan spawns at the end of Crimson's Arc "Project: World Wide Red". Well, it says it is a monster, but it has AV hit points and regeneration. You have an hour and a half to defeat the Titan and everyone on the map.
With its 20% negative energy resistance, I thought it would take me twenty minutes to half an hour to finish the Titan, giving me two or three tries in case of failure. No such luck. Kronos is a bit of a runner, and ignored my immobilize (no surprise for a hundred foot robot). It jogged around the map, taking me through other spawns. It jumped up into the trees where I couldn't go with my no-travel-power build. Well, not without using the Raptor Pack, but one of my rules was no temp powers for the AV fights.
So with all the extra trouble, it ended up taking about an hour to take down the Titan. Fortunately, there was nothing else challenging on the map, so half an hour was plenty to finish the rest of the mission.
It didn't hit all that hard compared to many or most AVs. I think the biggest hits were under a thousand points. The main challenge was finishing it off in time.
That's Dreadnaught Red Kronos 02. It's in a mission in the World Wide Red arc given by Crimson.
The secret to making a scrapper powerful enough to solo an archvillain is defense. The magic number is 45%. There's a Dual Blades/Invincible scrapper (Nihilii) running around annihilating AVs and other challenges, so it's certainly doable with Invulnerability. You also want perma Dull Pain, sustainable endurance use without inspirations, good resists, a good attack chain, and probably Aid Self.

What is that thing? Which zone does it spawn in, or is that a mission? And how do you be so powerful with a scrapper? I'm a lvl 43 scrapper and I die very easy, even with invincible and unstopable toggled on. Whats the secret to making a scrapper powerful enough to solo and Archvillian?

Oh, and if you want more specific advice for your specific character, I'd recommend the CoH scrapper forum. It's full of experienced AV soloers and number crunchers that can steer you in the right direction, whether that's AV soloing, or just a very tough general-purpose build.

I would think so, at least with the right build, but it might be tough. Damage will be the same as what I'm pulling off, so it's just a matter of surviving. I'd be shooting for high defense to all positions combined with a high recharge rate. The trouble would be pulling off the right balance to do the job.
