The case of an Indian student jailed in the U.S. more than three years ago, is being seen as a major test of America's human rights.
A jury found Vikram Buddhi guilty of posting online threats against the former U.S. President George W. Bush.
RT's Karan Singh has been following the growing campaign for his release.

  • US are the biggest criminal in da World...

  • The duration of the sentence is quite excessive. A fine and an open-jail ( community service) sentence of few months would have sufficed. This is the same country that sentences supermodel Naomi few days' of community service for breaking cracking someone's skull. Mr. Buddhi can expect no help from the Indian Govt. since he is not a Muslim and the present Govt. wouldn't derive publicity from saving such a man. Not would the media be interested. So rot in the jail, Mr. Buddhi. You had it!

  • So they screwed up a few cases like that. Dont judge the whole nation based on the odd screw ups.

  • fucking america....

  • @fuckvegan @fuckvegan Improve his own country? India? We have more people living here than you, most of them are foreigners and we don't complain. Plus you will find everything here, homeless to the richest. Improve what you idiot, every country has a difference and let it be. If every country becomes like america then theres no fun in that is there?... Speaking of improvement, why don't you talk some sense and IMPROVE USA.. I bet you have done nothing for the country have you?

  • WOW, we dont see people from Westboro church in jail?

  • There's a big difference between freedom of speech and making threats against the President. He deserves to be in prison.

  • That was the stupidest thing i've ever heard. Im quiet they dont come for me, im loud they don't come for me. They come for you when you threaten the president, I hate Obama but I would never threaten his life, and im 15, its sad that im more mature than a doctor (Indian in video)

  • You are so right, Terrorist was telling al-quaeda, 2:21 they forget to say that the black person has been caught 3 times and the white kids once.

  • This terrorist should have been sentenced to death...Worthless piece of shit threatening to kill people. He is a traitor like his father. No wonder India and Pakistan is a shit hole with people who cannot do any good for their country. They go to other countries to spread the third world filth. If he was so smart why not improve his own country ?

  • Respond to this video... actually, you are right, to some extent. i have received threats on my life ever since i made public declarations to put george bush in jail. (a random white haired man at my gym whispered in my ear 'dead man walkin'... among other incidents...) but, eh - what are you going to do? stop fighting? f*** no - this is America :D
