The Guthrie Theater's upcoming production of "Charley's Aunt" features many graduates of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater B.F.A. Actors Training Program. Take a look at Guthrie Theater productions these actors have been a part of in the past.
Widely regarded as one of the most sensational and entertaining farces of all time, Charley's Aunt centers on two Oxford undergraduates in search of a chaperone for a proper visit from their girlfriends. Jack and Charley manage to persuade fellow undergraduate Fancourt "Babbs" Babberley (played by John Skelley, The Importance of Being Earnest) to impersonate a millionaire aunt in this hilarious tale of young love and preposterous deception. Guthrie Associate Artistic Director John Miller-Stephany (A Streetcar Named Desire, 1776, The Constant Wife) helms the Guthrie's first-ever production of the charming comedy.
"Charley's Aunt" is presented on the McGuire Proscenium Stage Nov. 26, 2011 - Jan. 15, 2012.
