Magnificent Player! his workrate is right up there with Joel Selwood. Selwood earns his hoops with a relentless attack on the footy, But Varcoe just runs all day. Not only does he have terrific endurance but he can really turn up the pace whenever needed. Chasing down Buddy in 2010 and Burning off Puopolo like he was a turtle in the 2011 QF are prime examples!

Varcoe is incredibly underrated. Who cares what his stat sheet says? It's the little things he does that make him such a quality player.

A kick that wasn't marked by an opposition play ISN'T a clanger. If it was, every spoil would be marked on the stat sheet as a clanger by the person who kicked it.

@brassmonkeyhearts they couldnt beat collingwood because we stuffed up kicking for goal and our decision making in the last qtr was terrible, had nothing to do with what collingwood did, they kicked 3 goals from half chances in the last qtr, thats how they got most of their goals that night. Halfway through the 3rd qtr against u guys it was 6.12 to 8.2, we kick straight were up by 5 goals, the hawks arent far away and it scares cats supporters such as yourself that we will beat u again in a GF.

@GurgMaster you blokes would kill to have buddy in your side, would gladly get rid of j pod and hawkins at once. varcoe isnt rioli's bootstrap and most neutrals would agree on that, rioli does more without the ball than anyone in the competition but seeing as you guys dont watch hawks games you wouldnt know that.
