PRESENTED BY LAYLA ANNA-LEE

In Hannah's own words;

'People and places have the most influence on my music. I've been lucky enough to meet some fantastic people and live in some awesome places along the way...

I studied Modern Languages at Durham University and had the opportunity to spend a year abroad in Tuscany and Monaco. Here I really began to enjoy songwriting, realising how important my piano was to me (you only miss things once they're gone!) and having time and space to write with my guitar.

Back home in Suffolk in late 2005, I met BBC Radio Suffolk's Stephen Foster at a 'Suffolk Songwriters' evening. He subsequently invited me into the studio to perform on his drivetime show and introduced me to Pat Grueber at Gemini Studios in Ipswich. We began working on my debut album, Till Angels Fall, with a sprinkling of magic dust from some great local musicians including Jools Holland's guitarist, Mark Flanagan. I launched the album in the Summer of 2007 and it is available to purchase via www.hannahscott.co.uk and on iTunes.

For the past year, I have been gigging extensively in London - where everyone knows the streets are paved with gold! - and have felt very privileged to play in some great venues including The Bedford, The Regal Room, The Cobden Club, The Troubadour, The Halfmoon Putney and The Soho Revue Bar.

I really appreciate the support everyone has shown me on MySpace - if you like what you hear, do put me in your top friends to help me keep spreading the word...'
