David is currently working on a life-size bronze sculpture of P.T. Barnum that will be installed in September of 2010 on Main Street in Bethel, CT. David took a trip to see a statue that was created during P.T. Barnum's life that Barnum actually posed for.

The benefit of the trip was to see how the sculpture from 1893 handled the back of Barnum's head.

"I think it's really valuable to compare the work that Thomas Ball did with my statue, especially the back of Barnum's head. There really weren't a lot of photos of the backs of heads in those days, so to visit a sculpture that Barnum posed for is really helpful." Thomas Ball's statue was dedicated on July 4th, 1893. David's statue will be dedicated in September of this year (2010) in Bethel, CT, the birthplace of Barnum.
