This is NOT the proper way to introduce a new kitten to a dog! That kitten was terrified! Yes he stood up to the dog and yes the dog wanted to play, but it's STILL very CRUEL to the kitten to put him in that situation. Even when playing, a Rott could easily kill the kitten, before the humans get across the room. When I bring home a new kitten, I hold & cuddle him in front of my dogs so they understand the newcomer is part of the pack. I never trust them alone together until weeks later.

i know everyone is defending the dog saying the dog just wanted to play, but you need to remember that the cat dint know that, so technically, he really was standing up to it

so please guys, dont say any hate comments, because we all know that this dog didnt and cant hurt the cat plus it wanted to play, and the cat understood that and wanted to play to XD

and the dog truely is wanting to PLAY not eat the cat, ik because i have a dog and the dog acts the SAME WAY torwards cats here. so yeah, this is cute, but they do needa watch it with a KITTEN and a huge dog, and they did, the kitten was safe they chained the dog, the dog still got to play and so did the kitten, as you notice the kitten LOVES it its ears are UP which means its happy lol and sometimes its ears can be down and still be happily playing, i had a cute lil calico kitten once xD

@181990mike no its not not at all its called introducing two animals together hopeing for them to be able to live together, and that dog is ona chain so shut ur darn stupid mouth, i know all about animal abuse and this isnt one, im hopeing to become a vet or someone such like that, so you can shut ur darn stupid mouth and stop accusing, how would YOU like to be accused of stuff huh? doubt you would.

Form of animal abuse an should be reported..
The dog wasn't threatening the cat. When a dog wants to play it'll get down on its front paws with its butt in the air and its tail going, which you can't really see well with his small tail.
Usually that pose means 'chase me, chase me'. Watch how the dog backs off when the cat gets close. Least that's what mine likes me to do, and she'll even throw in a playful growl (relax, there's a big difference between play and angry growling)
