Chapter 3
I turned around, Nick was standing.
"do you wanna hang out ?" he whispered
"sure" he looked at me and half smiled. He sat on his bed, I walked over and sat next to him
"Nick can I ask you something ?"
"sure"
"youve changed, youre a jerk to your family, why ?"
"I dont know, I suppose Im just keeping my guard up, people have used me and it hurts"

Nicks POV

There was a knock on my door
come in Frankie popped his head around, he looked almost scared, I cant believe what Ive down
"N-Nick, mom wants to k-know if Ashley is staying for d-dinner"
"Frankie come here" he slowly walked over, I pulled him into a hug
"Im sorry buddy" he hugged me back
"Are you staying ?" I asked Ashley
"sure" Frankie smiled and ran out
"thank you"
"for what?" she questioned
"for showing me how much of a jerk I've been"
"no problem "she giggled

Ashley's POV

We hung out for a while then eat food, the Jonas family were so sweet, they were so close and you could feel the love they shared. Nick walked home when I got in I walked upstairs and put my pyjamas on, I crawled in to bed, kissed the picture of Jamie and I then placed it back under my pillow then laid down. I got up the next day, had a quick shower tied my hair up in a messy bun then got dressed in denim shorts a baggy hoddie and green converses. I walked downstairs, Mrs Jonas was sitting in the kitchen talking to my mom
"hey hunnie" my mom greeted me with a hug then kissed my head
I walked out to the back yard stood there for awhile. I walked around my house to the front of it I saw Nick coming out of his house, he spotted me and jogged over to me
"hey !"
"hi" he took my hand and sparks imatiley shot up my arm he started pulling me behind his house
"where are we going ?"
"you'll see" he pulled me through some trees there was an opening
"Nick it's beautiful"
"Yeah" it is the was a huge lake laying in front of us
"wanna go swimming ?"he asked
"sure" I took of my shoes and hoddie the turned to Nick
"ready ?"
"yeah" he jumped straight into the water, I laughed and jumped in next to him, we swam around for a while but then got hungry, we both got out, I slipped my hoddie back on and my converses, then we headed back toward the house. Nick went to his and I went to mine, I dried and got changed then head to the swing outside my house, when I got there Nick was already sitting on there
"stalking me ?" he turned to me
"how'd guess ?" I giggled and sat next to him he put his arm around my shoulder,
"wanna come over to the stables ?"
"sure" we both got up and walked across the street, we walked into the stables,
"which one is yours ?"
"her" he pointed to a black mustang
"wow, shes beautiful"
"we got her from a rescue centre" I walked over to her and stroked her we hung out in the stables for awhile
"I need to go to my dads friends house to get some stuff for the houses, wanna come "
"sure" I ran across the street told my mom then ran back over to Nick, I jumped in the passenger seat of his Chevy truck we drove to the person house, the sun set and it was dark out, Nick decided to take a short cut thought a back lane, but then the truck came to a stop, he banged the wheel
"UGH ! Not again "
"what ?"
"this truck, it tends to break down a lot" I jumped out and had a look around, Nick jumped out,
"my dad is coming to get us, hes gonna tell you mom what happened" I jumped in the back part of the truck which was practically empty, Nick jumped in and sat next to me, he put is arm around my shoulder I laid my head on his shoulder
"have you ever been stuck in the country in the dark ?" he asked
"Ive never been in the country when its dark"
"so youre a city girl ? "
"you could say that2
"well what brings you here "
"its a long story "
"we have a lot of time" he laid back and pulling me with him so my head was lying on his chest.
"my brother wanted to go to the store, he nagged me to go with him, I finally caved and agreed" I continued to tell him what happened
"it was too much for my parents so they moved us here"
"Ashley, Im so so sorry I had no idea"
"he was my best friend" I felt a couple tears slide down my face, Nick used his thumb to wipe them away, he took my hand in his and intertwined our figures but kept one arms tightly around me, I looked up at him and smiled.
"thank you"
