This is a little compact 35mm Film Camera that you simply HAVE to look out for at car-boot sales, charity shops, garage sales and flea-markets.

The Olympus Mju 2 (II) or Stylus Epic as it is also known as, had a beautifully sharp and fast lens. It's a fixed 35mm (no zoom) f/2.8. The camera is fully automatic, so all you've got to worry about is turning the flash off every time you open it up, then taking great photographs.

The Mju 2 / Stylus Epic looks very similar to inferior 35mm Compact Olympus cameras, so make sure you search hard and I'm sure you'll find one.

This example cost me £5 at a car-boot sale - a real bargain.

Thanks, Rob.

  • Is anyone selling one of these? I have looked everywhere for one and is running out of hope.

  • i love it how he goes "it's sharpness" hehehe

  • @mkoo if a camera is failing, you can always try removing battery temporarily or replacing it. often helps. also it might be that the camera can't read what kind of film is in it (DX code) you could check if the DX code reader thingy and the outside of the film roll are clean and intact.

if it doesn't help maybe there's other film that it can read.

  • whats the price of this?

  • My friend have one of theese. It works fine with b&w film but when you put color film in it it shows E at back. We tried various films but no luck. Any ideas what's wrong with it?

  • the same here!

  • can you make a film how to load it? I can't load mine, just bought one, maybe it just doesn't work, bescause it just shows me the E sign all the time :(

  • Really glad u reviewed it!

    Thanks a lot!
