Cold Winter (PS2) Level 1 Chang Prison Cells

This is a playthrough of the first level in the underrated PS2 FPS Cold Winter.

It's not a perfect run or anything, but I'm trying to showoff the gameplay not my gaming skills. It's on Veteran difficulty.

I love this game. In my opinion it's better than all Bond games post-GoldenEye N64, and I probably prefer it to all the single player portions of the Call of Duties too (which I find highly overrated, bar CoD4).

It's the little details I love in Cold Winter, like how you can check any corpse for items or armour, and the amount of armour you can scavenge depends on how you killed them (i.e. lots if it was a simple headshot, very little if they were killed by a grenade).

An underrated classic.

@Triggerhappytel This game kind of reminds me of a darker Bond style of game. It's what bond would be like if it was a little bit more gritty. The way it starts out kind of reminds me of, I think Die Another Day. You know, Bond gets captured and tortured in a North Korean Prison. Except in this case it's China.

I also agree with you on CoD. I can't stand the SP in the CoD series anymore. It's completely stale, and hasn't changed since the beginning minus bringing it to a modern theme

Everyone talks about CoD as if they're the only ones to do a modern shooting game. This guy posted a video titles "Real Life AC-130 From Call of Duty" as if it was the game that invented the damn thing. Its ridiculous. This game is really the 1st Modern FPS game. Well I shouldn't say 1st but in its time it was damn good. And the sad thing is people don't even remember or know what it was. This game along with Medal of Honor started it all. Fuck CoD.

The controls are excellent; they feel a bit 'weightier' than most modern shooters and there's no iron sight aiming, but it's generally smooth as butter and you can interact with most items in the environment (including being able to push tables over for cover and that kind of thing). The physics are some of the best you'll see outside of Half-Life 2 and as you can probably tell from this video, it's EXTREMELY gory.

Would love this to come to PSN/XBL as a download for about £8/$10.

brought this for 99p off ebay and liked its qualities, only problem was....it should have been longer tho i dont mind waiting a while to replay it. 9/10
