So let me get this straight: We're being sarcastic about driving a metro, like they "get us chicks" even though everyone knows chicks only dig guys you drive IROC's and Prius'. I've always thought humble vehicles were the perfect tool for weeding out the shallow girls you don't really want to waste time on anyway. I'll drive a 50+MPG car anyday. Thanks.

@ETThExtraTerrestrial---and I did it on my own. Metro=Simple+Efficient. BUT THOSE DAMN A-ARMS!!! That was the death of this beast. I knew of those common problems when I first got it. I checked 'em out and they looked good, I even sprayed them with bedliner type black spray. But they still rusted in a short time and eventually the unibody, etc. So it sits now waiting for a body to transplant the engine into. I now own a '94 5spd 2.2L Camry. FANTASTIC CAR=Refined-Reliable almost 40mpg I swear.

@ETThExtraTerrestrial--even LOUDER than in these videos and that loud ass exhaust hid the fact that it had a bad wrist pin. But I ran it with #1 piston with that bad wrist pin for months before tearing down the engine and replacing-Main bearings-Rod bearings-Piston rings(only 2 unlike 3 on most cars)-#1 Piston w new wrist pin pressed in(could only get from dealer)-Head gasket-Water pump-Timing belt-Some oil seals. This bitch is SO SIMPLISTIC that this was the 1st engine rebuild I've ever done

Hey guys, I'm the owner of this great car. The video was just for fun. In truth this Metro was great. I traded in a '94 2.3L Ranger 5spd w 200k that ran great and used almost no oil, for this car. It was right around the time gas was its highest price and I knew all about Metros and especially the Xfi models. I couldn't pass it up. The best mpg I got w the Ranger was about 28. The Xfi got 50mpg always, no matter how it was driven. 5spd with a Tachometer, nice. When I got 'er the exhaust was
