3G Baseband Downgrade 2.30 to 2.28. UNLOCK YOUR iPHONE 3G With YELLOWSn0w! (5.8 Bootloaders only)

This guide will teach you how to downgrade your iphone 3g's 0.2.30 (2.2.1) baseband (AKA Modern firmware) back to 2.28 (what 2.2.0 uses) in the easiest way so that you can use yellowsn0w to UNLOCK your iphone 3g. REMEMBER this only works on 5.8 bootloaders (AKA one of the chips in ur iphone 3g).

**- You have an UNLOCKABLE iphone 3g if you are on 5.8 Bootloader, Usually manufactured with firmware 2.2.0 or below.
**- You have a LOCKED iphone (as of april 16) if you have the 5.9 Bootloader, Usually manufactured with firmware 2.2.1 or higher.
-THIS VIDEO ONLY APPLIES TO iPHONE 3G!

IMPORTANT--** There's a few other ways to tell if you're on bootloader 5.8, however it's a hassle so just try out the baseband downgrade and if it doesn't downgrade then you know you have the newer locked bootloader 5.9.
