"Shine On ('til the Shine Comes Off)" was performed by SUPER DUPER at the Good Hurt nightclub in Los Angeles as part of the Battle of the West Battle of the Bands contest on November 10, 2011. The contest started with 35 bands, and SUPER DUPER ultimately won the day with their Glampocalyptic Rockplosive assault.

Some fun facts about this song and performance:

0:36 The "Indie Ice Queen" we refer to is not anyone in particular, but an amalgam of characters we've encountered in certain quarters of certain cities. Where others favor deflection and sanctimonious self-deprecation, we take it in the opposite direction. Thus, glow-sticks and other DIY arena-rock tricks.
0:44 Nick (guitarist) turns around to reset amp volume after sometime-keyboardist John La Croix plays a joke on him by turning it down.
1:11 Dan (singer) is the shadowy figure seen in the bottom left of the video. If you've ever seen a Super Duper show, you will know that he doesn't like to be confined to the stage. Many times throughout this video he has planted himself on top of the dance platforms, which have no lights focused on them.
2:16 This is the first footage ever shot of the never-seen-before Super Duper Shine Ambassadors. Lack of lights on the crowd make them hard to spot.
2:18 Did you spot when Dan turns on his light up suit? No, you didn't, because we cut it out of the video. But at 2:18 you see his hand still in his jacket pocket. Typical Napoleonic douche move.
- Shine On's music was written by John Jackson, the drummer for Super Duper. Yes, John is an accomplished guitarist, vocalist and songwriter beyond his drumming skills.
This Shine On video was the opening song of Super Duper's round 3 performance at the Battle of the West.
