Do kids actually start fasting during Ramadan in first grade? My impression was they start later than that, but I may be mistaken. My kids' friends are muslims, the boy just turned six and didn't fast this year anyway...

@etierik Thanks for posting! It's not required for kids to fast in Ramadan, but many parents encourage it as a good virtue.
