I was living in Vienna during 1969 and 1970 and was very fortunate to have seen and heard Shirley Verrett doing this song.............totally out of this world.....my most favourite of all....
also never to forget her Don Fatale...........equally magnificent............

Verrett singing the Veil Song is one of my favorite things in the entire world. I love the Giulini recording. Have you heard the live Wien recording 1970? Of course you have.

Yes! The 1970 recording was amazing. Even better than this recording, which is saying something. I was going to post it, because I found a DVD of it, but unfortunately, I lost the DVD... :(
