Jail Abuse Summit County Jail Akron, Ohio

The sister's name is Sounder James. She is clearly saying that she doesn't want the deputies to inject her with anything. We believe the initial injection is to induce behavior that is then justified for using force.
The fact that they do these things to women should wake up a few people.


The deputies are known as the extraction unit. They work for the Summit County Jail here in Akron Ohio.
They are used to tranport inmates who have allegedly been mishaving.

Inmates are injected with a drug cocktail many times by the deputies NOT by nurses.
As you can see some times they are naked. Once moved they are tied down with leather restraints. We have reason to believe that the deputies inject them to make them act "crazy" and then the nurse comes and gives a counter injection. You can see how the woman gets really wild and pulls off the restraint.

I learned about this practice from a former inmate who was kept naked for weeks, tied down in 4 point leather restraints and injected. He was also beat, kicked, hit with a metal pole and raped. Last summer a 28 year old man was killed by this team. He was injected and when they went to check on him he was dead. He was beat so bad the family kept the casket closed. They didn't have the courage of Emitt Till's mother. The skin was peeled off his face. The autoposy showed "unspecified anal injuries".

This guy weighed 300 lbs. Many times they take the inmates to the mental health ward because they have mental illness. This doesn't seem like appropriate treatment for mentally ill people.

The authorities refused to believe a former inmate who had been given the injections so Im here to show you how it's done. This is the first of many.
There are records for 100 extractions during 2006 which means there are video tapes for each one.

Five deputies were indicted last week. They were all given signature bonds Tuesday. If you go to OHIO.com you can read the front page stories from 9/9, 9/11/ and 9/12 all about the court case. They go back to court October 18 for a pre trial hearing.

That Correctional Emergency Response Team did not abuse the Inmate once in this video, so be careful. That county could turn around and sue you for slander.

@1974Lemans Hmmm. I think that you will find that the prison officers in the USA are quite abusive compared to many "less civilized" countries. Im the UK and we do not treat prisoners like this. For example, why read him the same lines, and not actually "talk" with him. And then why not answer his questions. Your correction officers just pay "lip service" and in fact are quite close to what could be deemed "torture". And it snot uncommon for the US to mistreat the less fortunate either. Sad

What if this was your sister or mother who got into some trouble and went jail? Would you want her injected with something she's not aware of? The reason this woman was resisting in the first place is because she already knew they wanted to give her that shit. Wake up America. Just because you are in jail it doesn't mean you're not human anymore. More of you people who haven't been to jail yet will surely have the pleasure. Anything can happen. You can end up just like this woman.

By the way, they use 5 men because it is safer. The more fighting and scuffling the more chances of injury to the staff or inmate.

hi. the summit county jail is awful. that lady (and most everyone in there) are locked in their cells 23 hours a day while supposedly retaining the presumption of innocence. most county jails cannot boast this, but this is a horribly abusive county jail.

nobody watching this video should allow another person to inject them with an unknown substance. however, if you are defending the aggressors... maybe you deserve the same fate.
