Based on Jane Austen's novel.
Catherine Morland is a young women who enjoys reading Gothic Novels. She is invited to Bath by a family friend, Mrs. Allen, and there she meets Henry Tilney and his sister Eleanor. Upon returning to her home with her family Eleanor invites Catherine to come along as her guest and companion. There Catherine's imagination continues to flourish and she beings to suspect a dark secret at Northanger Abbey.

Okay, first off, if you're going to respond to someone's comment please try to use correct grammar/punctuation. Especially when you're contradicting my opinion on a literary work (or rather a literary work made into a movie). Secondly, just because it's a satire does not mean that they have to make it scary and painful to watch. Being a satire is no excuse for terrible wardrobe, unsuitable make-up, and a random script that doesn't make sense. If you read the book it's more like the new version

I'm sorry but the best I can say for this version of Northanger Abbey is that it is comical. At worse I'd say it was a mockery of Jane Austens wonderful book.
