A large cedar bark house rises 16 feet from a pit in the ground, The site in Nevada City, Calif. is where ancestors of the Tsi-Akim Maidu lived for thousands of years.
As a registered member of the Konchow Maidu tribe, it makes me feel very good to see that their are people trying to recapture some of our lost heritage!
That would be a great thing to do in your own community. But tsi akim is a non profit run from the indians who are the taylorsville rancheria in plumas county. By the way that makes them Mountain Maidu, who were never from nevada county.

Many Californians honor your history and posting this video gives us a chance to celebrate the living culture that endures.
