  • i don't know what to make of these guys.as a newby to monster magnet who are they and what are they about? the hawkwind cover got my interest and i like the sound.

  • @brybish - LOL...people who have listened to them a lot don't know what to make of them at times too, but we're loyal fans of whatever it is. There sound and style has changed so much over time it is hard to catagorize their music. Rock & roll probably sums it up best.

  • does anyone else think they went shit around the powertrip ting. i struggle with that album and anything after. just way overproduced

  • @shawzymofo - They changed style but I loved everything up to, and including, God Says No. Powertrip and GSN took them in a heavier direction but it was VERY good music nonetheless (for example the song "All Shook Out", off of GSN, is one of my favorites from the band). My faves are the early stuff from their EP up to Dopes. Their 'psychedelic' stuff. In the regard that their best music was the early stuff...we don't disagree on that.

  • hey man, do you got lizard johnny you can put up???

  • Someone has already posted it. Besides I don't have a real good vision for a video to accompany it. I do have the EP and the song I might do a video for is Freak Shop USA. Stay tuned... 8)

  • 6:37...sounds like Chewbacca...

  • @shawzymofo

I definitely see the difference in the music from the early stuff to Powertrip and what followed. They really did away with lots of the echo-y, swirly sounds by Powertrip. But I like the newer stuff just as much as the old stuff. Their newer stuff has some great riffs. I do, however, like this production sound much better than with later albums.

  • God stuff!!

  • l'ozium zone metal c'est excellent...quel gros coup dave how do you manage to compose such a fuckin A.W.E.S.O.M.E track look at vid it's on top of the pops too...2 bird a stone :perfect strike...I will not be denie on it.....

  • @TheCriscokidify Actually they do give credit, to the correct writer of "Evil" - Willie Dixon.

  • j' en fais des chichis lol...

  • @leshy69 you're just so fuckin' right

  • dave wyndorf YOU'RE SUCH A ...your art is on top man....bye....

  • @shawzymofo To each their own. However, I love their entire discography, personally.

  • I LOVE THEIR PSYCHEDELIC STUFF BEST. JUST HEARING THIS SONG NOW IS WAKING UP OLD ACID TRIPS I HAD AND MAKING ME SPACE OUT....IT SUCKS THAT THEY NEVER REALLY MADE IT TO THE STATUS THEY COULD HAVE BEEN. THEY COULD HAVE BEEN A HEAVIER PINK FLOYD AND BEEN AROUND AS LONG IF THEY GOT MORE EXPOSURE. THEY ARE STILL AMAZING
