I'm contemplating a Marlin 60 ($160) versus a Rem 10/22 ($240). The $70 difference makes me want to consider this thoroughly. For someone who just wants a good .22 LR rifle, who doesn't mind the action; which do you recommend?

@Clowerdean Obviously I'm a big Ruger fan --- but the Marlin isn't a bad gun. The 1022 certainly has more options for modification, and I think it's a bit more reliable overall --- but others will disagree. Do a Google search for "ruger 10/22 vs marlin 60" and you'll find a ton of differing opinions. If you can, I think your best bet would be to shoot both of them before you make your choice. Some rifles are just going to "feel" better to some people. It's often a very personal thing.

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time with that concept, but it's been around for nearly a decade. Nobody here actually believes in zombies --- but we sure as hell believe in the information we are passing on. And as a few folks have pointed out, we also believe in having a sense of humor. Try getting one...it might help you unwind and you might sleep better at night.

yeah id go with an sks over a mosin. 10/22 is a must though. very light, cheap, accurate quiet, easy to clean and you can carry a 1000 rounds no problem. stopping power(energy)?...no not really. lethal?...quite

good video man i liked it.
