....got up this morning and read all the wonderful greetings from our YouTube friends and got inspired.....so this is for you...for all of you....
probably the closest to a Christmas anthem we're gonna get to here, peace brothers and sisters, from The Salvage Yard
Rising Yet by R. Voelker

Little baby in a manger
Looking forward to his debt
Gazing out at all the strangers
Wondering what all lies ahead
Saw a star on the horizon
Falling free or was it rising
Rising Yet
Watched good folks head to church
Past those outstretched hands
So cold you want to curse
Wind whipping through these badlands
Saw a star on the horizon
Falling free or was it rising
Rising Yet
It came on a midnight clear
We could use a few angels here
Kids all arm in arm
Many colors in the street
Shed the town empty the farm
From the hill there's a better seat
Saw a star on the horizon
Falling free or was it rising
Rising Yet
Saw a star on the horizon
Twas the dark and the enlightened
Holding fast or compromising
Falling free or was it rising
Rising Yet

Somehow this one got by me. Sure glad I found it. Your voice reminds me of my sister-in-law's ex-husband. He and I used to have loads of fun singing and playing. Sure miss him, but I guess it was all for the best they went their seperate ways. Anyhow, your voice sure brings back great memories. Thanks, buddy, and happy holidays! ~ Mark

Sometimes something triggers us to write songs and sometimes those songs are good....every once in a while those songs are great and move the people that listen to them. This is a great song Ron. What triggered it only you know...maybe it was the spirit of Christmas....you poured your heart into this tune buddy and you moved me. Thank you my friend.
