  • I'm looking hard at thoes nos aluminum ones for about a hundered, description says he can't confirm the parts # - was thinking of calling green sales and miller obsolete and see what their price is... I know they have correct parts #'s and I really want to stay with stock vs aftermarket plastic/chrome - I was looking at escort pics on Google... I saw a woodie escort.... I didn't know they offered a woodie package.

  • @cookieboystoys Yes, the woodies were rare, you can see more photos if you check out the sales brochures for the early years, I think they stopped the wood in 1985.

  • @mustmike95 sales brochures are on my want list, just have to hit ebay for them. I also found another early escort wagon for sale. A 1981 with 24K, 1.6L and auto.

  • Ebay! $45 for knock offs with free ship, and $99 for NOS. Just looked at them, Again, nice ride!

  • @mustmike95 Thanks Mike, I saw the ones for $45 do you know if they will work for the escort? when I tried the Pinto ones, they fit but would not push in far enough... if I could get NOS ford exact fit for the escort I would be more willing to buy thoes vs taking a chance for $45 that they would not push in far enough

  • Nice! needs trim rings,, I think gen 1 escorts are harder to find than Pintos. You got a nice one there, Good deal.

  • @mustmike95 trim rings for the wheels? I tried a set from a Pinto and they look good but don't fit tight (to deep) so I need different ones. Wheels will also be getting a fresh coat of paint soon and you are right... much harder to find than a Pinto... much, much harder :o)

  • @mustmike95 wow This is a BEAUTIFUL Car. I Loved the 84' escort and yours is awesome

  • @cookieboystoys They look correct, " Used to work at a Ford Dealer in the escort Hay-days... They appear to be narrow one where the pinto are a wider -deep type. Ask the seller if he can guarantee the application is correct. Good luck.. On a side note, My sister had a friend who took her to school in a White Lynx woodie wagon with the Burgundy interior,,,,, Ah , to have that car now.....

  • @cookieboystoys good luck with you new toy man it is nice

  • @ISUZU1987 I am really surprised by just how nice it truly is, took a long time to find, more than a year of looking and it's all mine :o)
