The first Nardi FN.333 amphibian first flew in 1952. SIAI Marchetti produced around a dozen Rivieras during the 1960s.

Out of an original production run of just 26 aircraft over six years less only half a dozen are believed flyable today. N95DR was likely the best restored Riviera in the world.

Mario Noriega of Italy created the FSX simulation model for N95DR
This video is dedicated to the late owner/Pilots Ken Shea and Egon Fritz.

  • The FN333 is rare as airworthy. I hope you can encourage a buyout and move ahead.

    Thanks for contacting me.

  • Hi Guys! Beautiful vid. My father, Ken Shea, also owned N95DR! agent2x4, was your father the one who had the private airstrip in Oregon that we bought it from? What was his name? If I remember right, he had quite a collection including a Spartan Executive. I was with my dad Ken when we picked it up. Ken has since passed (from cancer), but his wife, my mom Vickie Shea, found the video online and told me about it. Best to you guys! J. K. Shea

  • My father owned N95DR (The DR are his initials) during the period it was restored. I found a picture of the aircraft in its crumpled form post crash, and I thought he was going to cry. He really liked the aircraft, but it just wasn't capable of getting off the water soon enough for some of the small lakes he and his friends like to fly into.

He now has an Aviat Husky. Quite a change from the Riviera!

  • Nice clip. Actually I'm part owner in a FN333, thats not airworthy. Trying to get total ownership of it and maybe make it fly again...
