Here in the United States of America it is very diverse as it is in other countries. The media is usually what people judge other countries by, but media doesn't accurately represent the views of the people. It would be a mistake to group everyone into one category. Tschüß.

if she actually learned german she would probably find it pretty cool (not just a few sentences and her less than superficial knowledge of the language). no one really gives german a chance because of the romance languages and how german is portrayed. here in the US we dont think about german we think about nazis, which STILL makes it somewhat taboo to learn german -__- if it was more accepted to learn german, the "cool" language, her opinion would have been different. jeder nach seiner façon

As a german I have to say, compared to other languages german is kinda lame and uncool. Everything in french sounds hot. Everything in spanish sounds passionate. Everything in english sounds cool, but german is the nerd of the languages.

Ich lebe im Augenblick in Amerika und die Leute sagen mir hier immer, dass Englisch ja sooooo eine schwere Sprache sei...so nach dem Motto wir können keine andere Sprache lernen, weil Englisch ja schon so verdammt schwer ist. Also diese Leute hatten wohl noch kein Latein!

@flx2525 Warum so ausfällig? Es gibt keinen Grund dafür, mich geschmacklos oder dumm zu nennen. Und dass du 30 Rock als Humormüll bezeichnest, zeigt nur, dass du keine Ahnung hast, was diese Serie überhaupt ist (nämlich nicht eine dieser Konservenlacher-Serien, obwohl es davon einige WENIGE gute gibt). Fey zeigt dort die Vorgänge hinter der Kulisse einer Liveshow ala SNL. Ich jedenfalls würde US-Sitcoms (natürlich im Original) jederzeit lieber sehen als Cindy aus Marzahn oder Mario Barth...

@flx2525 Tina Fey? Och, nur eine der kreativsten Humoristinnen Amerikas, Erfinderin und Autorin der genialen Show "30 Rock" und tolle Promi-Imitatorin (Feys Sarah Palin ist einmalig). Ich glaube kaum, dass sie das ganze so wirklich ernst gemeint hat. Aber hey, wer beschwert sich denn über so ne Lappalie, wenn Michael Scott und Liz Lemon zusammen einen Film machen?
