  • I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (April 22) is Good Friday. Hebrews 4:14-16 can be read on this day as a New Testament Lesson (or Epistle). By this time, Jesus has risen from the dead and has already ascended to Heaven. Hebrews was written after Jesus left this earth.
