I really need to purchase the soundtrack. Amazon is out of stock. Any other suggestions? The most beautiful music I have ever heard in a film. And I thoroughly enjoyed the movie beyond belief.

You are right, at the moment it is out of stock. Even in Italy (La Feltrinelli) it is not available at the moment. But I'm sure it will be re-released some time. Also check ebay regulary.

The music can be heard at the end of the film (in the credits). A CD is available from amazon "Il Viaggio di Ferruccio".

si, ho girato un po' su internet e ho trovato questo cd..però un cd con la colonna sonora di tutto il film non è proprio in commercio, vero?

Mi scusi, ma il mio italiano non è abbastanza buono. Ma in inglese: the only commercial available pieces of this colonna sonora are on the Feruccio CD. The complete score is only about some 13 pieces. Most of them are various orchestrations of the same tune. In other parts we have some solo piano or clarinet instruments. But I think with this CD you'll make a good deal. It also includes some fine songs and piano quintets.
