At last a song where the seventh string is needed. Never enough by Epica in the way I played with my last band: live version without synth-strings and keyboards.
First I recorded the audio and separately the video.
Material used:
Schecter Demon 7-FR SBK with D'Addario 10-59 strings and normal B-7strings tuning.
M-Audio Fast Track MK-II with USB connection with Steinberg Cubase SX3.
Guitar effects: Guitar Rig 4.
Drums and bass edited with GuitarPro 5.2 and converted by www.hamienet.com.
That was great you came out almost like the original, only Simon and nothing was missing!!!!!

@EmonicBlood123 The new Epica songs are symphonic Metal, and for the songs of DYU you need the md2-at least. I think the ml-2 is pretty good for stuff like semblance of liberty, resign to surrender or something...
Good Cover btw! Great Man!

I have the Metal Zone, too heavy for symphonic rock. I've tried the Metalcore and, in my opinion, it sounds bad. A good distortion pedal by Boss, instead, it's the Mega Distortion, which is very versatile.
In this particular song, with Guitar Rig, I've used the simulations of:
- noise reduction,
- distortion: Ibanez TS808 Tubescreamer,
- amp: Marshall JCM800 lead,
- studio reveverb.
The distortion is a bit heavy for the genre, but I've used it because here there are no keyboards.
