  • she is clearly misguided

  • @nusdorfer haha yes it does. but love doesn't just equal sex. love is about giving yourself entirely to another, which is exactly what religious life is and what sex was designed by God to do! so she is fulfilling her call to love, but just in a different way than a married person is called to love :)

  • She sounds like a religious cynic.

  • does it mean she'll never have sex in her life???

  • @TheDurtyDeed I'm talking about reality,.. Christianity brought human dignity to the world... also the monks and religious in Europe invented Universities... .Before Christ the world was steeped in darkness - paganism; might makes right society; humans sacrifices, household gods etc...I'm sorry to see there is such a movement to return to that ....but the Church will not cease preserving and proclaiming the Truth to the end of the World.... I'll say a prayer for you.

  • @amdgmcman Just because Christian's pioneered higher learning in more modern times doesn't mean they are the only ones who could have started higher learning. It has been proposed that we could have had scientific development and Universities even earlier in history had it not been suppressed by the Church.

  • @amdgmcman What? I am basing truth on a philosophy that ONLY uses empirical data, what do you mean I base truth on a philosophy that is not empirically verifiable? How do you know there would not have been universities with Christianity and the Catholic Church? Wasn't the Church key in hindering the development of science from 500 AD until the Enlightenment? It sure was.

  • God bless her-- she is going the right path!

  • @TheDurtyDeed interesting you are basing truth on a philosophy that is not empirically verifiable. Are you smarter than her? There would not be the University system or Science without Christianity and the Catholic Church. Maybe she is right and you are wrong?
