My high school Symphonic band played this also in 1982. We went to some state concert to play and we would of won except we were unknowingy disqualfiied because a intern put the same percussionist on stage to play that also was in the Concert band. I loved and have not heard it in years.

I think you over did it at some points and too loud when it should be quiet and it being loud caused some bad intonation problems and it doesnt make the crec. have the big impacts that it needs. and its kinda fast lol i cant really feel the emotion but its still a very good job.

No, thank you for posting your concert. I had been looking for this piece for years but had long ago forgotten the composer and had consigned it to the dustbin of my memory. This brought that memory flooding forward, making a powerful piece of music even more powerful. I am grateful for your gift.

Thank you so much for posting this . My highschool band played this 30 years ago and I have not heard it since. I just spent the past 6 minutes with goosebumps and tears streaming down my face. Thank you.

me gusta mucho. our band is playing the exact same song for our spring concert next tuesday. when we first started learning this peice, our director actually played this video ot the whole band to see what it sounded like.. must say its a very intense peice. wish the sound quality would of been better...but non the less...i like it!
