my aunt lives in fort myers and i remember she was telling me as a kid that they were filming parts of a zombie movie ther like in '84 or '85. she was telling me how when the zombies got off of work for the day that they would be at the bank cashing their pay checks and in drive thrus ordering food still dressed as zombies! i have always rememberd her telling me that. i went to sanibel island (last scene in the movie) and it was a nasty beach.. lots of dead stuff washed up on the beach!

Love that movie,i have the special edition dvd.I have to go to Fort Myers sometime to see those places wearing my Day of the Dead t shirt,I live in Miami so .is not too far

i go to fort myers every year i love it! and it isnt deserted at all, if u go there in the spring u can see the minnesota twins and boston red sox spring train. and the beaches there are wicked nice
