I recalled watching the Christian network CBN (aka ConArtist Bullshit Network) years ago, they had this one black couple on there and this brotha had claimed he had been "delivered" from the sins of homosexuality.  The expression on his wife's face was very telling, meaning she was not convinced that he was straight. A few years later, that same dude appeared on another talk show (I think it was Ricki Lake or Salley J. Raphel), stating he couldn't change his sexual oreintation to straight.
