I'm not opposed to this, and I'm as "militant" as an atheist gets. If they can cut the fucking proselytizing and teach a secular class about Biblical literature so be it. Teach the kids the real history of the Bible, teach them all those stories that they aren't taught in sunday school. Reading the Bible is one of the best cases for atheism.

Christianity is abuse. The Bible should be exposed for what it really is as it is an insult to the God of our Universe. We know the Bible has many forged documents and interpolations to try to establish a point. We do not know who wrote the gospels.

We do know Jesus' message and Paul's message are opposite.Paul negates God's laws.Jesus confirms to do them.God says anyone teaching against His laws should be killed.Deut 13:1-5.

Because of atheists, spanking a child on the butt is now considered "abuse".

Because of that, children aren't punished by parents when they deserve to be, and they grow up with the mentality that they can do anything at all and get away with it, or that there's no "right" or "wrong" just "do what thou will shall be the whole of the law" like those Golden Dawn Satanists.

@thedagonjones God was testing Abraham by seeing if he was willing to sacrifice his son. God never intended to let Abraham go through with it. If you actually READ the Bible you quote, you'd know God provided a ram for the sacrifice, and told Abraham he was only having his faith tested. Isaac went down the mountain with Abraham, just as Abraham said they would previously.

Because Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son to God, God was willing to sacrifice His Son for His Elect.
