The Icom 746Pro is Back

As you may know, I had to send my Icom 746Pro back to Icom for servicing. Fortunately, the radio is under warranty. Icom replaced the rf predriver and resistors on the PA board and set idling currents. Would be interested in hearing from others that may have had the same issue with their 746Pro. 73. AI4QT.

I think the Icom IC-r3 scanner sounds like a deal. However, not sure how the "terrestrial" television mode will work when all broadcasts stations (minus a few) convert to digital--at least here in the states in Februray 2009. 73 AI4QT

Thanks for your comment. I do hope that you are able to get your radio back in a timely manner as well. My 746Pro was away for just under three weeks.  Seems to be fixed now (fingers crossed). 73 AI4QT

I used to use a icom 746 none Pro , The FM went out for no reason , with its history After Getting it back I sold it!
